The OVO Energy Tour of Britain - Stage 7
Rugby Borough will welcome Britain’s biggest professional cycle race for the second successive year as the OVO Energy Tour of Britain returns.
Warwickshire stage seven will see the world’s top teams and riders racing from Warwick Racecourse to the hill-top finish at Burton Dassett Country Park over a 186.5-kilometre (116-mile) route.
Starting in Warwick, the world’s top riders will pass through the University of Warwick, Kenilworth, Meriden, Fillongley, Atherstone, Mancetter, Bedworth, Bulkington, Brinklow, Dunchurch and Wellesbourne. Action is guaranteed on the climb of Sun Rising Hill, with the stage ends with three ascents of Burton Dassett (1.7-kilometre, 4.9% average, climb) as part of a 12-kilometre finishing circuit.
