Christmas in Rugby Town

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Rugby

There is plenty of festive fun and entertainment in Rugby over the coming weeks. Our Events pages list some of these. Highlights include:

Oliver!, one of Britain’s most loved musicals comes to the BENN Hall for three performances between 1 and 2 December. Performed by Five Star Theatre, the sensational score brings some of our favourite musical songs to life in full technicolour.

The wonderful Wheels on Debussy return to Rugby on 2 December for a family story-telling performance of The Snow Queen. The show takes place at Lawrence Sheriff School. Food and crafts are also on sale from 10:30.

Santa will be setting up his Grotto again in the town and this year he will be based at St Andrew’s Church. He will be there every Saturday from 2 December, 10:00 until 16:00 (9 December 10:00 – 12:00) and also Tuesday 19, Wednesday 20 and Friday 22 December.

The Rugby Philharmonic Choir presents its Christmas concert performance of Handel’s well-loved "Messiah" at Rugby School on Saturday 16 December.

It wouldn’t be Christmas without a pantomime performance. Jack and the Beanstalk comes to BENN Hall for two performances on 29 December. This is a family adventure filled with laughs, colourful costumes and fabulous effects.

If you'd like to contribute to a good cause this Christmas, come along to the Rugby Visitor Centre on Saturday's and Sundays in December to get your presents wrapped.  For a minimum £1 per present wrapped, all donations will be given to Rugby Foodbank.  Residents can also drop off donations of food at a collection point at the Visitor Centre.

Details of all events can be found within individual listings. Keep an eye on these pages for updates and additions.
