Rugby Christmas blog - part II

If you were to spend this pre-Christmas weekend out and about in Rugby, what might you do?

Well, why not start the weekend on Thursday? BarTwentyFive, Rugby’s most exclusive cocktail bar in Café Vin Cinq will be extending their weekend opening hours to Thursdays over the festive season, with very special seasonal cocktails. We are looking forward to giving them a try.

As you reminisce about last night’s cocktails, stumble into the wonderful Revelicious Bakery in the Churchside Arcade for some cheeky Friday freshly baked cakes. The delicious Papillon Café Bar is also next door, serving equally delicious goodies.

Rugby’s Friday market

Why not then take a wander via Rugby’s Friday market for fresh bread, preserves and more festive ideas.

Art and culture

Later on, head over to Rugby Art Gallery and Museum for this year’s Rugby Open Exhibition Festive Evening. Bringing together a range of high quality contemporary art from emerging and established artists in the region, the evening will see artists’ awards announced, craft activities for families and performances by a local choir.  Most of the art is for sale and you could pick up a truly unique Christmas present.

Boutique shopping

On Saturday… shopping. Newly opened plus-sized boutique Satsku has some beautiful festive party dresses.  Just one of the lovely boutique shops in Rugby town centre.

A Christmas wreath and Santa's grotto

If you’ve not got your festive wreath yet, Flowers by Pauline and Jean's Flowers are two of the places where you can get lovey fresh holly wreaths. Then, as your local present haul grows, don’t forget Santa has set up his grotto in Yum Yum World every Saturday and then throughout the week from 17thDecember.
