The Rugby town blog
Rugby Christmas blog - part I
Christmas shopping doesn’t have to be stressful. In Rugby, you can ‘shop local’ in quality local shops, restaurants and bars at a more leisurely pace. Here we take a #TheRugbyTown #Instatour to see what’s on offer for those Christmas shopping, those just browsing or for those who want to spend festive evenings soaking up the atmosphere in relaxed cafes and bars. We'll continue next week with a look at more, including events in the town.

The Merchant's Inn
Rugby’s most famous bar, the Merchant's Inn serves great beer and food. For those that don’t know, the pub is mad about real ale and rugby. This year the Merchant's was voted the UK’s best bar to watch Rugby by Aberdeen Standard Investments Melrose Sevens voters. The Merchant's famed Christmas tree is now up. Come and enjoy with a mulled cider.
