Thousands enjoy fabulous feast at Rugby Food and Drink Festival

Rugby Food and Drink Festival attracted thousands. Published: Monday, 2nd October 2017

Rugby’s Food and Drink Festival, supported by Rugby First and Rugby Borough Council, cooked up a real storm as thousands enjoyed the fantastic feast of food, fun, ale, music and entertainment.

The festival took place in Rugby town centre on Saturday 30 September, between 10.30am and 5pm.

Aftab Gaffar, Rugby First Managing Director said:

I was really pleased with how the day went and it was great to see the town centre so busy – it was buzzing.

"This year we took the decision to expand the event into Regent Street to provide additional space for stalls, music and seating areas and this worked very well. It also increased footfall to those businesses located in Regent Street which we had hoped it would do.

“I would like to thank all those businesses and individuals who supported the festival and also extend a special thank you to St Andrew’s Church for hosting the food fayre. A date for the 2018 festival will be announced shortly.”
