Chess Club at Rugby Library

Chess Club is a relaxed and friendly space for people to enjoy the timeless game of strategy with the help of our friendly volunteer, James. Whether you’re a seasoned player or just starting out, come along to meet others, play, and improve your skills.

Session format:

• 1:00–2:00pm: Free play
• 2:00–3:00pm: Tutor support available from James

These sessions are great for:

• Practising and developing your chess skills

• Meeting fellow enthusiasts in a welcoming environment

• Enjoying a calm and focused activity

• Discovering what our libraries offer

The library has a varied board and card game collection that you can use for free in the library anytime you visit.

These sessions happen every other Saturday.

This is a drop-in event, so booking is not required.
